About this riff
If you know Am, C, D and F, you already know where your fingers go. This turns those chords into a riff by playing them one note at a time.
What helps
- Hold the whole chord down and leave it down. Only your picking hand changes strings.
- Let every note ring into the next, as if you were strumming very slowly.
- Count six to each chord: 1 2 3 4 5 6. The change always falls on the 1.
- This is our own picking pattern over the traditional chords, built to get you moving. Listen for how the record plays around it.
