How to play Reality Club by REALITY CLUB on guitar

Reality Club is a great beginner song to learn because it sits in a comfortable, upbeat groove and gives you a clean sense of movement between chords. At about 120 BPM, it should feel lively but still manageable, so you can focus on staying relaxed and keeping the changes smooth.

You can lean on the open shapes for most of the feel, with A and D doing a lot of the work. The harder shapes are the barre chords F#, F#m, and C#m, so those will ask more of your fretting hand. The change to watch most closely is the opening move from A to F#, then back into D, since that shift can break the flow if your hand is late.

Start by looping the opening progression A - F# - D - A very slowly until the shapes feel automatic. Then practice the barre chords on their own, making each note clean before connecting them back into the full sequence. Once the changes are steady, raise the tempo little by little until you can keep the rhythm even all the way through.

Use the play-along above to follow each chord change in time with the music, or learn the shapes first with the chord diagrams below.
