Lesson 10 of 10

Play it for someone

The point of all of this.

Most people pick up a guitar imagining playing a song for somebody. Time to do it.

Choose someone kind

A friend, your mum, your kid, your dog. Do not wait until you are ready, you will never feel it. Pick the song you play best, not the one that is most impressive.

Tell them you have only been playing for a while. They will not know that the F was really an Fmaj7.

If you are shy

Record it. Press Record a clip on the song page, play it once, and listen back. Send it to one person if you can.

It will go a bit wrong

Your hands will shake and you will miss a change you never miss. That is true for everyone, for years. You know what to do: keep your strumming hand moving, and catch the next chord.

And then

Go back to Songs and find the next one you want to play.
